Urgent Eyecare
Our eyes are a sensitive and important part of the body. When an eye emergency occurs, we are here to provide urgent eye care. A sudden injury may not only cause pain but could also lead to serious health complications.
What is an eye emergency?
The eyes are delicate, making them more susceptible to injuries that can cause long-term damage. An eye emergency can occur at work, at home, in school, or while playing sports. It occurs when you injure, burn, or get something in your eye that shouldn’t be there. Some examples of eye emergencies are:
- chemical exposure
- concussion
- eye infection
- flashes of light in vision
- floaters in vision
- lost or broken contact lenses in the eye
- foreign body stuck in the eye
- eye trauma
- dislodged contact lenses
- sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes
- peripheral vision loss
- painful, red eyes
- uncomfortable, itchy, or irritated eyes
When to seek urgent eye care
If you are experiencing pain, sudden vision loss, infection due to something in your eye that shouldn’t be there, eye pain, or red eyes; seek urgent eye care.
If you are experiencing an eye emergency, we encourage you to seek urgent eye care the same day the issue starts. If urgent eye care is required, we can see you that same day.
